This Privacy Policy explains how Startup Bible ("we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website and services (the "Service").

  • Account information: when you sign in, we receive identifiers and profile info from our authentication provider (Clerk), such as a user ID, name, email address, and avatar.
  • Team/workspace information: team name, membership, roles, and invitations you create or accept.
  • Usage data: basic logs about requests and actions inside the Service (for debugging, security, and improving reliability).
  • Payment information: if you purchase a subscription, payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full payment card details; Stripe provides us subscription status and limited billing metadata.
  • Communications: when you invite teammates, we may send emails on your behalf (e.g., invitations) via our email provider (Resend).

How we use information

We use information to:

  • Provide the Service: create accounts, authenticate users, manage teams, and deliver features.
  • Process subscriptions: create checkout sessions, handle webhooks, and track entitlement status.
  • Send emails you request: invitations and service-related notices.
  • Improve and secure the Service: debugging, abuse prevention, and performance monitoring.

How we share information

We share information only as needed to operate the Service:

  • Authentication: Clerk (sign-in, identity, session management).
  • Payments: Stripe (subscription checkout and billing).
  • Email: Resend (invitation and transactional emails).
  • Infrastructure/hosting: our hosting provider(s) may process data to serve the application.

We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies for:

  • Authentication/session (required).
  • Security and flow continuity (e.g., preserving invitation context during sign-in).

You can control cookies through your browser settings, but disabling required cookies may break sign-in.

Data retention

We retain account and team data for as long as needed to provide the Service. Invitation tokens expire automatically. You may request deletion by contacting arnold@startup.bible.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, but no system is 100% secure.

Children

The Service is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum legal age in your jurisdiction).

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will provide notice in the Service.
